Holy Week in Malaga

The Echegaray Theatre has once again been the space for the presentation of the poster of the Holy Week of Malaga 2022 in a year marked by the Covid19 pandemic. In an act presented and conducted by the journalist Manuel Garcia, the work of Fernando Prini Betes was presented, an advertising poster in which a print of the Virgen de la Esperanza appears on a building on Marques de Larios street.

The artist and colleague Fernando Prini during the emotional speech said among other things that "The Virgen de la Esperanza appears in a print, already almost centenary, which even maintains the handwritten signage of the time. And as I wanted to reproduce it: a beautiful and powerful version of the Lady in a relatively little known and published photograph, and that we can almost place near the foundation of the Association of Brotherhoods, of which we are celebrating its Centenary".

In the poster made in gray and earth tones appears a section of the wall of a building that is located on Marques de Larios street with Marin Garcia street and on this, an old picture of Maria Santisima de la Esperanza.
